Many people think that the shape of the body is purely genetic and there is nothing that can be done about it. The truth is that hormonal imbalances will cause excessive distortion of accumulated fat in different locations around the body. An imbalance on the inside can show up on the outside.

Body shape is affected by hormones.

Accumulating fat is directed to certain parts of your body based on what's happening to hormones. For example; the stress hormone, called cortisol directs fat deep in your midsection whereas estrogen directs fat superficially around your hips and thighs (called cellulite). These body 'shapes' can give clues on what the body is attempting to do.

Certain hormones have the purpose of directing where fat is placed on the body, and it is a distortion of this function that causes different body shapes.

The primary purpose of fat is as a secondary reserve of energy, the primary one being sugar. Fat means survival to the body because it is stored energy. The body has a tendency to hold fat around vital organs that are stressed as an act of protection against starvation. During pregnancy, the body will accumulate fat usually around the hips and thighs, as this will ensure extra fuel for the growing fetus.

The distinctive quality of this program is the discovery that different body shapes are the result of specific correlating glandular problems (adrenals, ovaries, thyroid and liver). This program targets ALL of these problems, allowing for maximum weight loss. One can’t just put everybody on the same foods and expect to be successful. Each person needs to eat and exercise for his or her specific gland weakness.

The Adrenal body shape, for instance is adipose tissue surrounding the organs in the abdomen. The Ovary body shape is more of an estrogen cellulite-type fat, which is superficial (just under the skin) and mostly below the bellybutton. The Thyroid body shape is yet a different type of fat altogether. The weight is deposited all over the person’s body and is not really fat but more of a waste-like substance that accumulates between the cells. Then there is the Liver body shape. This is not always a fat situation; it can be a fluid problem, where an accumulation of fluid is leaking into the abdomen.
