Hormones Triggered by Anaerobic Exercise

The first one is growth hormone. Remember that this is the antiaging, fat-burning, lean-body-mass-producing hormone, which also helps prevent the breakdown of proteins—like your bones, muscles, hair, skin and nails. It is stimulated by intense exercise (anaerobic) only. This hormone works through the liver.
The second one is glucagon. This is the opposing hormone to insulin, which gives the cells fuel between meals and is also fat burning. It too works through the liver and is stimulated only by intense exercise.
The third one is testosterone. This hormone is made by the …

Fat Burning Trigger #4: Fats

From:  The 10 Fat Burning Triggers and Blockers
Fats typically do not influence fat-making hormones; however, they do have the ability to stress the liver, which indirectly affects hormone flows through the liver.
The whole myth that fat is the big culprit making everyone fat doesn’t pan out when you’re talking about hormones. Fat has little effect on fat storing hormones. Can’t SLEEP?

I can’t tell you how many people just cannot get enough restful quality sleep at night. Your sleep is controlled by hormones, and these hormones are affected by darkness and light. The entire cycle is called the circadian rhythm. The term circadian comes from the Latin circa, “about,” and dies, “day,” meaning literally “about a day.” You typically go through four 90-minute cycles of sleep during the night, each one ranging from light sleep to deep, rejuvenating sleep. If everything is working, you can go to sleep, stay asleep, and …

Exercise with NO Results?

Don’t Ignore Nutrients

Nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids) are the foundation of a healthy body. A common mistake people make when trying to lose weight is counting calories but ignoring the nutrients IN those calories. Our soils have become depleted over the last 40 years and a plant only gets its nutrients from the soil – thus poor soils mean poor nutrient value in our food supply.

Recommended Daily Allowances are the amount of essential nutrients our bodies need each day. It is becoming difficult to meet these RDA requirements. For …

Exercise is Really a Type of Stress

Exercise is really a type of stress. It triggers the body’s adaptation processes. Many hormones participate in the breaking down and building up of body tissues, hormones, body chemicals, and muscles. A healthy body can adjust and respond to the right exercise over time — an unhealthy body will not. Over training inhibits any and all benefits. All of the benefits of exercise occur during recovery, not during the exercise itself.
There are three components of exercise, (1) duration, (2) intensity and (3) recovery (below). Frequency is just a repeat of …

The Tiny Mistake People Make Which Leads to a Huge Belly

Could it be that the diet program you’re doing is the wrong one for your body?
When I first got married, I surprised my wife by making here an incredibly delicious desert. It was my first attempt and really didn’t have time to read all steps in the cookbook, which was a small omission, later turning into a huge disaster. I accidentally used baking soda instead of flour. As she took her first bite, I was all set be labeled as the ‘great cook’ but to my surprise, I was blocked …
